RTM Tram Museum

The RTM tram museum in Ouddorp sits at the foot of the Brouwersdam. Volunteers keep steam, diesel and motor trams of the Rotterdamsche Tramweg Maatschappij running, and on ride days they travel through the dunes and over the dam.
What can you expect at the RTM tram museum?
- History: The RTM linked Rotterdam with the islands by tram, bus and ferry, over 235 kilometres of track. The last RTM tram ran in February 1966 in a snowstorm. It then continued as a museum, at the Brouwersdam since 1989.
- Tram ride: A ride lasts about an hour and stops at De Punt, Port Zélande and Scharendijke, among others. On some days you can combine the tram with a boat trip.
- Rolling stock: Steam locomotives, wooden and steel carriages, motor trams and goods and mail wagons make up the collection.
Practical information
- Opening hours: The museum opens on ride days according to the seasonal calendar, with extra steam and themed days.
- Facilities: There is a volunteer-run café, a shop and a large car park.
A ride on the museum tram is a fun family outing on the Goeree coast.
Furthermore RTM Tram Museum is near the following sights: Aqua Mundo Port Zélande (±3,2 km), Kiteboarding Club Brouwersdam (±3,4 km) & Sailing & Surfing Centre Brouwersdam (±3,6 km).
